grooves! Versatile, energetic and passionate, Uptown ENT
Band brings an extensive repertoire that will have you up and dancing
in no time, getting the party started! You can visit their website

Future
Shock
Since its inception, hip-hop has proven to be a culture that youth
of all backgrounds can understand and identify with. By embracing
this culture, Culture Shock Atlanta directly communicates and reaches
out to youth in hopes of helping shape strong, motivated individuals
with valuable tools to excel in all endeavors. Future Shock is a
direct result of Culture Shock Atlanta's efforts. It is a youth
dance company comprised of dancers under the age of 18 and directed
by the Culture Shock adult members. The program allows youth to
gain hands-on experience in performing and studying hip-hop/street
dance in a healthy, family-oriented atmosphere. For information
about getting your child involved or to book the Future Shock Dance
Troupe
for an upcoming event, visit their website at www.cultureshockatlanta.org/future_shock.htm
StratoGeezer
An instrumental trio from Atlanta that performs surf tunes and eclectic
theme songs. All reverb and a big backline provide the foot-stomping
sound that will take you back to the era of The Ventures and Dick
Dale. Custom-arranged theme versions of 'The Munsters, Phantom of
the Surf, Peter Gunn, If I Were a Rich Man, and Goldfinger' along
with Mediterranean and Latin inspired sounds of 'Miserlou, Mexico,
Cherry Pink, Baja Nights, and Besame Mucho' and your surf classics
'Wipeout, Journey to the Stars, Love Potion #9, and Surfrider' will
surely keep you moving to this high energy band. You can check out
StratoGeezer's fun, interactive website at www.stratogeezer.com.
Lindsay
Rakers Band
The Lindsay Rakers Band would be suitably sandwiched somewhere between
KT Tunstall, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, Sugarland and the
Counting Crows at a music festival. In fact, you can hear Columbia
recording artist Brandon Bush (Train,
Sugarland) providing soulful keyboard on the band's first album,
Less Asleep. The beauty of the LRB sound is that each member is
uniquely influenced, creating a hybrid of folk, rock & alt.
country that takes good things from all three genres. The beauty
of their live show is that you can tell they love the music and
performing it for you; you can't help but feel the music with them.
Feel the music at their website, www.lindsayrakersband.com
or their MySpace page at www.myspace.com/lindsayrakersband.
YERMOMANEMS
Beau Hall and band formed YERMOMANEMS, named for a Southern term
to reference the people who hang out with your mother, as in, "Say
hay to your momanem!" When you think YERMOMANEMS, think late
70s/early 80s pop new wave rock bands like Cheap Trick and the Cars,
plus some of their originals and goofy fun. Even though you've been
dancing all night, YERMOMANEMS
is going to keep you on the dance floor! www.beaurocks.com/yermomanems
